What comes to mind when thinking about St. Patrick’s Day? The color green? Gold coins at the end of a rainbow? Leprechauns? Alcohol? Well good, because I’ve combined all those things into this citrus vodka jello shot that could not be any more “St. Patricks-y” if you tried.
These St. Patty’s jello shots are made with condensed sweetened milk and lemonade that’s mixed with gelatin powder. They’re then topped with whipped cream and gold coins found at the end of a sour rainbow.
Build your St. Patty’s jello shots one color at a time by pouring the lightest green first, followed by the middle, then darkest green. After each layer, you’ll pop the shots into the fridge for 20 minutes for that layer to set up.
I used a double-shot glass, but these can be made in any shot glass or those little disposable containers that you may (or may not) remember from your college days.
These were such a huge hit, I already know I’ll be making similar jello shots for every holiday coming up. I’m thinkin’ bomb pop shots for Fourth of July and spooky shots for Halloween! What holiday would you like to see turned into an ombre jello shot next?
