Happy St. Patrick’s season! It’s still freezing here, but maybe a milkshake recipe will trick us into thinking the warm weather is on its way. This Irish Cream Shamrock Shake is a creamy, minty, magical concoction that’s over-the-top festive for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day is one of those holidays a majority of America doesn’t celebrate. Why? All holidays are recognized equally in the Smith household. Any time of year I can make a little treat that’s out of the norm and a little over the top, I’m down.
(I always get sad that there’s never home decor for these smaller holidays. Is anyone else like this, too?)

This shake is much like the McDonald’s sweet, green and minty treat, but with the added pizzazz of Baileys Irish Cream. It’s the grown-up Shamrock Shake.
And it’s also super quick to make. Even with all the extras like chocolate drizzle, whipped cream

Another great thing about this recipe is that you can opt out of using alcohol and make a kid-friendly version of this shake. If you want to do this, just replace the Baileys with 1/2 cup milk and its safe for the kids.
