Target had two huge drops this week – Studio McGee and Hearth and Hand Christmas collections! I know, I know, it’s still too early for Christmas for lots of people. I don’t even start thinking about Christmas until Halloween is over. But we all know that these lines will sell out quick, so if you don’t jump on an item you love now, you might not get it.
No matter your style, I think both collections have some pieces that everyone can love. I’ve gathered up my top picks from the drops, so check ’em out!
Studio McGee Christmas 2022
First off is the Studio McGee Christmas collection that they describe as warm and charming. As expected, it’s an understated color palate overall with greens, natural colors, warm textures, and gold accents. It all fits in very nicely with the rest of her pieces over the years.
There’s lots of pieces I’m excited for, but my favorites are:
- I am obsessed with this chunky weave tree collar! I’ve seen such few square collars and this one is even better with the handle details. We need a new one this year anyway, so I’ve already ordered mine.
- I’ll probably also order two or three of the feathery pine trees in the different sizes for our foyer. I’m thankful to have more options of greenery that aren’t flocked.
- The tufted throw pillows remind me a bit of the Serena and Lily Montecito pillows. They look much more expensive than they are.
- The last thing I’m considering ordering is the set of three cypress wreaths that are hung on a ribbon. I think they’d look really good hanging in our kitchen windows.

Hearth and Hand collection 2022
The other Target collection, which I’m surprisingly happy with, is the Hearth and Hand Christmas collection. Every Christmas they feature a rich plaid pattern and this year is no different. I will always incorporate a bright red in my Christmas decor, so I appreciate that they’ve included that this year. They’ve got everything from decor, wooden toys, and pet items.
A few pieces that stand out:
- I saw this Letters to Santa metal mailbox in store today and it’s gorgeous. It doesn’t look like it came from Target at all – it looks much more high end.
- I think I may pickup this plaid woven blanket to throw over our sofa. This is the exact color scheme I’m planning on this year.
- Something I wasn’t expecting to like so much was the metal holiday card display bar. We don’t get many Christmas cards, so this is an upscale way to display the 4-6 we might get.
- The last thing I’m definitely ordering is the peg stocking holders. I’ve been looking for plain white ones and you can’t beat the price.
