Valentine’s Day Baskets for Toddlers and Babies

Holidays· Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is almost here which means it’s another excuse to create a fun and festive basket for my kids! If you’ve read my blog before you’d know that this is one of my favorite things to do – I love hunting for all the goodies and combining them into an aesthetic basket that is not only super cute but full of useful things we need.

Also, this is the first time that I’m able to make a basket for TWO kids! I had my baby girl Addison in December and this is her first holiday (besides Christmas of course) that I get to make her a basket. My son Leo is no stranger to these as I also do them for Easter, Halloween and Fourth of July.

Leo will be two years old in February, so he is super easy to make a basket for. It could be filled with Dollar Tree trinkets and candy and he’d be thrilled because right now everything is a toy.

But babies are harder to make holidays baskets for because they can’t have toys or candies. Instead, I try to think ahead for things my baby will need in the coming months — what will my baby need for some of the big developmental milestones like starting solid foods? With this in mind, I got her a suction plate and silicone bib. Necessary items I’d buy anyway, but presented in a fun way!

First off, both of their baskets are the medium wire baskets from the Pillowfort line at Target. I started by lining the bottom of the baskets with some Martha Stewart heart tissue paper I got from TJ Maxx. I also used some plain white tissue to add some height to the bottom of their baskets.

My absolute favorite part of these baskets is the acrylic heart name tags I got this year. I got them from Etsy and they make the baskets so special! I’m definitely doing this for all my holiday baskets this year.

What’s in my Toddler’s Valentine’s Day Basket:

Color Wonder coloring book
Grumpy Monkey
Tiny T-Rex and the Perfect Valentine
Haribo gummies
M&Ms
Heart shaped pop it
X’s & O’s pajamas
Replay sippy cup
Stuffed T-Rex
Mini bubble wands
And some finds from Bullseye’s Playground: Valentine’s Day countdown, plastic dinosaur, bath paints, pink heart bath bomb, and a wooden car.

What’s in my Baby’s Valentine’s Day Basket:

Love Is book
Mushie bib
Plush baby blanket
Heart romper and headband
Silicone Plate
Formula dispenser
Paris shapes book
Flamingo lovey (I found this at TJ Maxx and don’t have a link, but there is a stuffed animal version)

Vibrating strawberry teether
Struck by Cupid headband for photos from Bullseye’s Playground
